Stories from a Downtown Apartment is the hotly-anticipated follow up to Celeigh Cardinal’s 2017 breakout debut LP Everything and Nothing at All. This latest collection of soulful songs sees the Indigenous singer/ songwriter diving into themes of love, grief, desire, and letting go. The album brilliantly showcases Cardinal’s bewitching contralto voice; its warmth, power, range and nuance calling to mind the likes of Bonnie Raitt and Adele. This 2019 release has earned Celeigh the 2020 Juno Award for Indigenous Artist of the Year, and Western Canadian Music Award nominations for Songwriter of the Year and Indigenous Artist of the Year. Both singles ‘The Devil is a Blue-Eyed Man’ and ‘When All Is Said And Done’ have reached the #1 position on the Indigenous Music Countdown. The album reached #2 on the National earshot Folk/Roots/Blues chart.

Everything and Nothing at All is the debut album of Celeigh Cardinal, which earned her the Indigenous Artist of the Year title at the 2018 Western Canadian Music Awards. She also received 8 nominations at the Edmonton Music Awards, a CBC Indigenous Music Award for ‘Best Pop Album’, and the single ‘There Ain’t No Way’ rose to the #1 position on the Indigenous Music Countdown.
